Support That Strengthens the Workplace

Life’s challenges can feel overwhelming—but no one should face them alone. The Cooper Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides employees and their immediate family members with confidential, free, and voluntary support designed to improve well‑being, enhance performance, and strengthen workplace culture.

Our Services

Confidential Counseling

Short‑term, solution‑focused counseling delivered by licensed Master’s‑level therapists—available both in‑office and virtually. We help with concerns such as stress, anxiety, emotional well‑being, relationship challenges, grief, and workplace issues.

Professional Development Coaching

One‑on‑one coaching focused on building essential workplace skills, including:

  • Time management
  • Emotional intelligence
  • Effective communication
  • Conflict management
  • Anger management

Workplace Conflict Mediation

Conflicts between employees can disrupt productivity and morale. Our trained mediators work with both parties to resolve issues, rebuild communication, and restore a healthy work environment.

Work-Life & Community Resource Referrals

We connect individuals with trusted resources for:

  • Assisted living and senior care
  • Financial/debt management
  • Nutritional guidance
  • Legal issues*
  • Self‑help and recovery groups (AA, GA, Al‑Anon, OA, etc.)
  • Mental health services for non‑eligible family members

*Excludes legal matters involving action against the employer.

Critical Incident Stress Management Services

Following traumatic events in the workplace, our ICISF‑trained clinicians provide individual or group interventions to support healing and stabilize the affected team.

Alcohol & Substance Abuse Support

Our program includes:

  • Comprehensive assessment
  • Referral to in‑network treatment programs
  • Coordination of care
  • One year of follow‑up support after treatment

Participation is voluntary for self‑referrals.

Crisis Intervention

When employees experience acute mental health concerns, immediate phone support is available. A mental health professional is accessible 24/7 to help determine the appropriate next steps.
(Please note: EAP is not a crisis center.)

Management Support

Supervisors can access unlimited consultation for:

  • Handling workplace performance concerns
  • Guidance on documentation
  • Role‑playing difficult conversations
  • Addressing patterns in team dynamics

If EAP utilization trends signal morale issues, we can recommend team‑building or departmental interventions to help restore balance.

Your Privacy Matters

Cooper EAP complies with all HIPAA regulations to ensure every interaction remains strictly confidential.
